Iravunk: Situation in Kesab is calm
Armenians were killed again in Aleppo in recent days. On July 30 Azniv Arushian died in a mine explosion in the Zvartnots Church in Nor Gyugh district. Her sister, Araksi Arushanian-Khachatrian, was killed in the same area on the same day.
Armenian Ambassador to Syria Arshak Poladyan told the correspondent of ‘Iravunk’ paper about the incidents and the current state of Syrian Armenians.
“Besides the two sisters, another two Armenians - Sona Balkian and Gevorg Galemkerian were killed… The situation is tense everywhere. There is a lull at the moment, but fighting continues in various regions,” the ambassador said.
Speaking about Kessab, Poladyan said the situation in that town is much better. Life is returning to normal in Kessab. There is no reason for concern,” he said.
