Bus crash in Egypt kills 30 people
According to the updated information, at least 30 people were killed Friday morning in a collision of two buses in the south of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, Reuters and Egyptian MENA reported, according to RIA Novosti.
One of the buses involved in the incident was carrying tourists, who were on a vacation in the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. The accident took place about 30 miles away from the resort.
Reuters reported that there were citizens of Russia, Saudi Arabia and Yemen among more than 40 victims, but there are reports that those injured were Ukrainian, not Russian citizens. The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals. It remains unknown if there have been any foreigners among those killed in the accident.
Rescue operations continue at the scene, the death toll can still rise.
