Armenian Justice Ministry may allow convicts to use phones
Armenian Justice Ministry may submit a legislative initiative by late 2014 allowing convicts to legally use phones and the Internet, Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan told reporters after the government session today.
“We are now studying international practice,” Manukyan said, noting that they need to establish the limits of a convict’s right to communicate with the outside world.
“When we will do it, we will allow them to use the Internet and phones,” the minister said.
