168 Hours: Remittances from Russia to Armenia on the decline
‘168 Hours’ paper says: “The consequences of sanctions on Russia are already obvious. Remittances from Russia to Armenia making up a considerable part of the state budget have declined in the past few months. According to data of the Central Bank of Armenia, $168 million 737 thousand was transferred from Russia to Armenia in July 2014, which means that remittances declined by $11.9 million compared to the same period of last year. This difference almost doubled compared to June (in June, $134.8 million was transferred from Russia to Armenia – remittances declined by $6.4 million on June 2013).
