Hraparak: David Lokyan possible candidate for agriculture minister
There was an uneasy atmosphere in Armenian Ministry of Agriculture in connection with rumors about the upcoming replacement of the minister, according to ‘Hraparak’ paper. Associates of the current minister Sergo Karapetyan were especially concerned. It is rumored that Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is going to appoint ARF-Dashnaktsutyun party member David Lokyan as agriculture minister.
D. Lokyan’s son is one of the prime minister’s seven advisors.
Lokyan denied these rumors. Asked by ‘Hraparak’ whether the prime minister offered him the post of agriculture minister, Lokyan replied: “No. This information is not true. It is not possible for me to become minister again. I am a member of ARFD Bureau, while ARFD did not discuss the issue”.
