Bridge in Yerevan put up for auction
‘Chorrord Ishkhanutyun’ paper writes that Yerevan Municipality decided to auction off the bridge separating the Erebuni administrative district from the city center. In the Soviet time it was a railroad bridge that city residents called ‘Upravleni Bridge’. The railway does not function now: the lines were exported to Iran, but the bridge will be auctioned instead of being demolished.
According to the paper, the possible buyer is former parliamentary deputy Armen Purtoyan who plans to build a children’s café suspended from the bridge.
