PM to deputy minister: Nobody cares about your opinion
An unpleasant dialog took place between Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Arthur Arakelyan at the government session today.
The deputy minister was making a report about amendments to several laws. When the amendments to the Law on State Duty were being presented, the prime minister asked Arakelyan why a separate duty is exacted for transportation of heavy loads on Armenian motorways.
In response, Arthur Arakelyan said “I think …”, but the prime minister interrupted him noting: “Nobody cares about your opinion”.
The prime minister then asked him how justified the duty’s introduction is and whether international experience was taken into account. The deputy minister said that large trucks pay such a duty in Russia.
