Government to debate Pashinyan’s bill on border villages
A working group was set up at Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s initiative with the aim of assisting border villages. The working group will develop a comprehensive package of proposals. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan said at the government session today when presenting the legislative initiative of parliamentary deputy Nikol Pashinyan on assistance to border communities that the working group will discuss these proposals.
In his words, the working group is summarizing all the proposals. “It is planned to develop a joint comprehensive package of proposals. It will include both issues of a social nature and business-related issues,” Gevorgyan noted.
Hovik Abrahamyan stressed for his part that the issue of providing assistance to border villages is a government initiative, while all proposals submitted by National Assembly deputies will be debated and the most reasonable ones included in that document.
