Serzh Sargsyan pays working visit to Armavir province
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today paid a working visit to Armavir province where he familiarized himself with the repair work done in Norapat high school and the new conditions there, according to the presidential press service.
Repairs at the school, built as early as 1971, finished on September 20, 2014. 170 pupils currently attend the school that has 27 teachers.
The president was informed that in addition to interior and exterior repairs, the school’s heating and water system have been reconstructed, the playground was improved, the gym was equipped with new equipment, and trees and shrubs were planted near the school.
Serzh Sargsyan also visited MAP Company where he attended the opening of an upgraded wine-making workshop. Modern Italian equipment for the production of wines was bought under a program that started in October 2013 and ended recently.
The plant’s production capacities enable to purchase up to 20,000 tons of grapes and 20,000 tons of fruit and vegetables. According to the managers, in 2014 it is planned to purchase 10,000 tons of fruit and vegetables, including 8,000 tons of tomatoes, 500 tons of fruit and 4,000 tons of grapes.
The company’s products are sold in Armenia and abroad. The enterprise employs 216 people.
