Armenia recorded 4.1 percent economic growth in Jan.-Aug. – economist
According to the IMF forecasts, Russia’s economic growth will be 0.2 percent in 2014, which is a bad indicator for a country like Russia, economist Bagrat Asatryan told reporters on Wednesday, adding that this will have an impact on Armenian economy.
“According to the National Statistical Service, Armenia recorded 4.1 percent economic growth in the first eight months of this year,” said the economist, noting that the economic indicators of the country are low.
He explained that the economic growth was ensured at the expense of trade (5.7 percent) and services (6.2 percent). Besides, Asatryan said, some businesses have come out of the shadow.
