Armenian PM receives heads of CIS tax services
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today participants of the 21st sitting of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Tax Services of CIS member states, according to the press office of the Armenian government.
Welcoming the guests, H. Abrahamyan said that their visit to Yerevan will give renewed impetus to cooperation of CIS countries in the sphere. In his words, the Armenian government attaches importance to improvement of the business environment and investment climate, in particular tax administration.
“Armenia attaches special importance to the improvement of activities of tax and customs bodies. For SMEs, a new program was developed to facilitate the tax policy. E-filing of tax statements was introduced, and infrastructure for quality services of taxpayers was created,” Hovik Abrahamyan said.
The heads of tax services thanked the prime minister for the reception and informed him about the issues discussed at the sitting. According to them, Armenia has taken important steps aimed at developing its tax service.
The interlocutors noted that they have common goals and common problems that can only be solved by joint efforts.
