Turnover tax: Four factions await meeting with government
The speaker of Armenian parliament Galust Sahakyan conducted a consultation today with the participation of parliamentary factions’ members. The Law on Turnover Tax that took effect today was discussed at the consultation.
According to member of Prosperous Armenia (BHK) faction Mikael Melkumyan, it was decided to hold another meeting in the National Assembly, this time with government members responsible for the sphere so as to clarify some essential approaches.
“Not to use VAT, raise the threshold of 58.35 million drams, etc. We will clarify these approaches, and the remaining issues will be clarified as a matter of routine procedure. We cannot say anything until we meet members of the government. But it is obvious that all the political forces expressed concern over the existence of the problem. Everyone believes that there is such a problem and it should be solved,” Melkumyan said.
We would remind you that today the four non-coalition parliamentary forces proposed holding a consultation with the NA speaker, noting that the issue should be a subject of discussion.
