Armenian prime minister pays working visit to Vayots Dzor
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan paid a working visit today to Vayots Dzor province where he attended a wine and harvest festival in Rind community, according to the press office of the government.
The prime minister familiarized himself with the production capabilities, current and future programs of Zorah wine company in Rind community. He underlined the importance of the company’s export program and its consistent implementation. On behalf of the government, H. Abrahamyan expressed readiness to assist the company’s activities if necessary.
Then the prime minister went to the central square of Rind community to celebrate the wine and harvest festival together with villagers. The village residents thanked Prime Minister, honorary citizen of the community Hovik Abrahamyan for his assistance with the implementation of various programs.
The Armenian government helped the rural community solve problems with drinking and irrigation water and provided assistance to farmers selling farm produce and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. It is planned to repair the community’s drinking water pipeline and construct new irrigation pipes in 2015.
