Levon Hayrapetyan to wear electronic bracelet
Businessman Levon Hayrapetyan, involved in the Bashneft case, will wear an electronic bracelet enabling to control the observance of house arrest conditions by him, RIA Novosty reported.
On Friday a Russian court changed Hayrapetyan’s measure of restraint following a motion of the investigation: his imprisonment was commuted to house arrest.
“An electronic bracelet was attached to Hayrapetyan so that employees of the criminal executive inspectorate could control the observance of house arrest conditions. Besides, inspectorate employees will visit the detainee in his home,” said Kristina Belousova of Russia’s Federal Service for Execution of Punishment.
Investigators accuse L. Hayrapetyan of complicity in the sale of Bashneft to Sistema Company by Ural Rakhimov in April 2009. Hayrapetyan is charged with misappropriation and money laundering. The court seized Bashent’s share package of 300 million rubles.
