Ara Abrahamyan: Armenian government should pursue flexible policy
Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) does not endanger the republic’s independence and will ensure its security. It does not endanger the Nagorno Karabakh Republic either, there will only be some restrictions related to economic issues,
Chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia, Head of the World Armenian Congress Ara Abrahamyan told reporters today.
According to him, they will hold consultations on October 16 to discuss steps aimed at efficiency of Armenia’s membership in EEU.
The sanctions imposed on Russia are temporary, A. Abrahamyan said adding that although the sanctions will affect Armenia, their negative impact can be reduced by a correct policy.
Abrahamyan stressed that Armenia should conduct a flexible and correct economic policy, cooperate with all, and create conditions to increase exports to the EEU countries, especially where there is a demand.
