Haykakan Zhamanak: CC chairman hopes to get post of Armenian president
‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily writes that Chairman of Armenia’s Constitutional Court Gagik Harutyunyan should resign from his post in 2018 as he will turn 70 and may not hold that post under the law.
Gagik Harutyunyan is chairman of the Commission on Constitutional Reforms and he is very interested in these reforms, according to the paper. He hopes that in case of transition to a parliamentary system of government after 2018 he will elected president by Armenia’s National Assembly and will serve a 7-year term with symbolic powers.
