Number of reported crimes increases by 302 in Armenia
The number of crimes reported in Armenia in nine months of 2014 increased by 302, but the crime growth rate has declined, First Deputy Chief of the Armenian Police Lieutenant General Hunan Poghosyan told journalists today.
According to him, there has been a decline in the number of gang offences and cases of willful infliction of corporal injury, while robberies and residential burglaries are on the rise.
Internal investigations against 1190 policemen were conducted in the indicated period, 19 cases were sent to court, and 21 policemen were convicted.
