Haykakan Zhamanak: “Trio” does not become “foursome”

‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily writes that there is still no clarity about the number of non-progovernment forces. On October 10 the leader of Armenian National Congress (HAK) Levon Ter-Petrosyan declared that the national movement is led by Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), HAK, Heritage Party and People’s Party of Armenia (HZhK).

“Despite it, HZhK does not participate in joint meetings of the trio. The secretary of BHK parliamentary faction Naira Zohrabyan declared yesterday that the trio remains a trio and they continue to work in the same format, that is without HZhK. The deputy chairman of HZhK Stepan Minasyan said HZhK makes part of HAK’s parliamentary faction and HAK represents HZhK as well,” the paper says.

“The factions have held meetings in the National Assembly. HZhK is represented by HAK and Levon Ter-Petrosyan said that outside the parliament the movement is led by four parties, including HZhK. The trio is a parliamentary format, with HZhK being part of HAK faction,” Minasyan explained.
