Haykakan Zhamanak: Crash involving son of Syunik gov. covered up
On October 26 the son of Armenia’s Syunik province governor Suren Khachatryan, driving at 120 km per hour, crashed into the car of the son of the local forestry head Grisha Hayrapetyan, ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily was informed by Grisha Hayrapetyan.
“The governor’s son fled the scene and his name is not indicated in the police data on accidents. The police chief of Goris city said he was busy and immediately turned off his phone when he heard the newspaper’s name. The press service of Investigatory Service said that according to police information, Nikolay Abrahamyan, 39 (bodyguard Nikol) was driving Niva vehicle, but the governor’s son was not in that car,” the daily says.
