Avetik Ishkhanyan: OSCE ODIHR assessment report is objective
Head of the Helsinki Committee of Armenia Avetik Ishkhanyan called the assessment report of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) objective.
According to him, all the clauses are quite objective, although a soft approach was taken to some of them.
“It is evident from the report that the main problem in Armenia is its pyramid power, with all the ensuing consequences. Another problem is the absence of division of powers, while the participation of civil initiatives in debates is of a formal nature,” Ishkhanyan noted.
He added that state structures are quite detached from civil society, with cooperation being fictitious.
