Safaryan: Minimum wage to make 55,000 drams from July 1, 2015
The minimum wage will increase to 55,000 drams in Armenia from July 1, 2015, Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Safaryan said today during discussions of the draft state budget in the Armenian parliament.
He said that in 2015 over 385.5 billion drams will be allocated for the social sphere. Over 38.3 billion drams will be allocated for benefits. Pensions will increase by 5 thousand drams. The lump-sum payment for the third or fourth child born in a family remains the same – one million drams.
“Besides, the social sphere will receive additional budgetary allocations of 41 billion drams due to increased salaries. 22 million drams will be allocated additionally due to the rise in electricity tariffs,” Pavel Safaryan said.
