CC: Agreement on Armenia’s Accession into EEU conforms to Constitution
The Constitutional Court of Armenia recognized as constitutional the Agreement on Armenia’s Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) signed in Minsk on October 10, 2014.
The Constitutional Court Chairman Gagik Harutyunyan announced the decision of the Constitutional Court.
As was reported, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was held in Minsk, Belarus, on October 10, during which the Agreement on Armenia’s Accession to the EEU was signed. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that the heads of EEU member states will help to ratify the agreement in their national parliaments by late 2014 so that Armenia could also start its activities from January 1, 2015.
