Armenian PM holds consultation with regional governors
A consultation of governors of Armenian provinces took place today, chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, according to the press office of the Armenian government.
The participants discussed work and programs implemented in various spheres, their results and the current problems. In particular, the governors made reports on work aimed at developing infrastructure, the implementation of government programs, and revenues of regional communities.
The governors also addressed the state program, under which land users received seeds, fertilizers and diesel fuel at affordable prices. They underlined the program’s efficiency, noting that it contributed to agricultural development – growth of agricultural production was recorded. The consultation participants attached importance to the program’s continuation.
The prime minister instructed them to submit proposals for efficient organization of the program in the future, taking into account the current shortcomings.
Other issues related to improvement of regional administrations’ work were also discussed.
