Hrachia Harutyunyan may be extradited from Moscow to Armenia
The lawyers of Hrachia Harutyunyan, an Armenian driver who caused a road accident in Moscow last year and was sentenced by Moscow’s Troitski Court to 6 years and 9 months in prison, may start procedures to return him to Armenia, Aysor.am was informed by Yeranuhi Tumaniants, advisor to the Armenian ombudsman.
“The indictment already took effect. Yesterday we together with Harutyunyan’s lawyers discussed the possibility of his return to Armenia. He should file applications to justice ministers of Armenia and Russia and if any obstacles to his extradition are absent, he will be sent to Armenia where he will continue to serve his term,” Y.
