ISIS cuts all phone communications in Mosul as ISIS leader al-Baghdadi allegedly arrives in city
On Wednesday, a local source in Nineveh revealed that the leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State, known as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is inside the city of al-Mosul in Iraq, IraqiNews reports.
The source informed IraqiNews, “Since this morning, the ISIS group cut off all phone communications in the city of al-Mosul without clarifying the reason behind taking such an action. Residents of the city showed resentment because they couldn’t use their mobile phones, but they said it could be some security prosecutes by the group.”
The source confirmed, “It was ISIS elements who cut off all phone communications in the city…and some information spread suggesting that the leader of the ISIS group Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is in Mosul.”
