Armenian PM, Uruguayan Vice President discuss cooperation prospects
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today Vice President of Uruguay, President of the Senate Danilo Astori, the press office of Armenian government reported.
Such visits contribute to the development and expansion of bilateral relations, the prime minister said. He appreciated highly the current level of political relations of Armenia and Uruguay and stressed the need to promote economic links.
D. Astori expressed his willingness to do his best for the further deepening of bilateral cooperation.
In this context the interlocutors discussed issues of promoting links in various sectors of the economy. In particular, they underlined the importance of holding an Armenian-Uruguayan business forum that will give renewed impetus to investment attraction, implementation of joint programs, and an increase in the commodity turnover.
H. Abarhamyan thanked the Uruguayan authorities for their warm attitude to the Armenian community. Danilo Astori expressed his appreciation for Uruguayan Armenians’ contribution to the country’s development.
