Aram Manukyan assault case goes to Yerevan investigative department
The criminal case over violence committed against parliamentary deputy Aram Manukyan has been transferred from the Arabkir district investigation unit of Armenia’s Investigative Committee (IC) to the Yerevan city investigation unit of IC, on the instructions of IC Chairman Aghvan Hovsepyan, Aysor.am was informed by Sona Truzyan, advisor to chairman.
“Joint work with respective police units, as well as active operational search and investigative actions are underway,” she said.
On the evening of December 11, Armenian parliamentary deputy, member of Armenian National Congress (HAK) opposition faction Aram Manukyan was assaulted and beaten up outside his house. His son Aren Manukyan told Aysor.am that the deputy was hospitalized with brain concussion and traumas.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case. Investigative units were instructed to establish the identity of the person who committed violence.
A video from the security camera at the crime scene was taken for examination.
