ChI: Armenian teachers to visit Iraqi Kurdistan?
"It became known yesterday that President of Iraqi Kurdistan Masoud Barzani signed a bill on the language, by which Armenian, Assyrian, and Turkmen languages were recognized as official languages – along with Kurdish and Arabic,” ‘Chorrord Ishkhanutyun’ writes.
When asked by the paper if Armenian language teachers may visit Iraqi Kurdistan to teach there, the member of the Armenian parliament’s standing committee on science, education, culture and sports Ruzanna Muradyan supported that idea.
In her words, teachers from Armenia currently go to educational institutions of the Diaspora, although the Armenian language is of no state importance in those countries.
