Video shown about violence against POW Injughulyan in Azerbaijan
The closed demonstration of a video about torture used against Armenian serviceman Hakob Injighulyan during his captivity in Azerbaijan took place today at the initiative of the Armenian ombudsman, according to the Office of Armenian Human Rights Defender.
The video filmed in Azerbaijan was seized from Azerbaijani saboteurs and provided to the ombudsman by Armenian Defense Ministry.
Representatives of a number of diplomatic missions and international organizations – the UK, Germany, France, OSCE, the Council of Europe, and the UN – were present at the demonstration.
Armen Grigoryan, the deputy ombudsman dealing with servicemen’s rights, expressed deep concern over inhuman treatment of Hakob Injighukyan and all Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan.
The meeting participants also discussed issues related to soldiers’ rights.
