Haykakan Zhamanak: PM denies rumors of transport fare rise
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan had a brief talk with reporters prior to the sitting of the Republican Party of Armenia’s Executive Body yesterday. According to ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily, the correspondent of RFE/RL’s Armenian service said that the gas price at filling stations reached 230 drams. The prime minister replied: “This is not true. I sent my employees to all filling stations. They said that prices are 200 or 210 drams at some stations, mostly 200 drams”.
When asked by ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ whether public transport fares will rise in Yerevan, the prime minister denied that information.
