Valery Permyakov gives confessional evidence
The case of Russian soldier Valery Permyakov who is suspected of killing six members of a family in the city of Gyumri is a classic example of cooperation of two countries – Armenia and Russia, First Deputy Chief of the Armenian Police Hunan Poghosyan said.
In his words, it will be correct if the Armenian side conducts a preliminary investigation and the detained man is handed over to the Armenian side.
“The detained person left his position without permission. He had a rifle, service cartridges and two magazines. Permyakov said he went for a walk around the city, and entered the house where the incident occurred. He said he had no intention of crossing the border, but frontier guards saw and detained him,” H. Poghosyan said.
The deputy police chief said that V. Permyakov gave confessional evidence, according to which he acted alone.
