Haykakan Zhamanak: G. Kostanyan contacts Russian prosecutor general

‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ paper writes citing reliable sources that Armenian Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan asked Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chayka to allow investigators of Armenia’s Investigative Committee to question Valery Permyakov.

“As of yesterday, members of Armenian investigative bodies had no opportunity to meet him or question him,” the daily writes.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation into the case of killing of six people in Gyumri on January 12. An investigative group was set up. It is composed of investigators of the Main Department for Cases of Particular Importance of Armenia’s Investigative Committee and investigators of the regional investigative unit of Shirak province. The group is headed by Gevorg Aghababyan,an investigator of the Main Department for Cases of Particular Importance.
