Investigative Committee releases video of Permyakov’s questioning
The Main Department for Cases of Special Importance of Armenia’s Investigative Committee (IC) is continuing an investigation into the criminal case of murder of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri on January 12, according to the press service of IC.
Taking into the account the wide public response and the public’s right to information, we inform that Armenian investigators took samples of Valery Permyakov who is charged with murdering the Avetisyans in order to compare them with samples from the crime scene. Forensic biological, genetic and criminological tests will be conducted.
V. Permyakov was questioned in the presence of his lawyer and an interpreter, and questioning was filmed in the prescribed manner.
Investigative, procedural and operational search actions are being taken to check the circumstances indicated during the questioning.
