Prime minister receives representatives of SMEs
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today a group of representatives of business entities engaged in trade, according to the press office of the government.
The prime minister said that during the consultation conducted by the Armenian president, a decision was taken that the entry into force of the requirement on purchase and documentation of goods of the Law on Turnover Tax will be postponed until July 1.
H. Abrahamyan said the government will discuss the bill on amendments to the Law on Turnover Tax with political parties, NGOs and all interested organizations so as to make a decision acceptable to everyone.
In his words, all the opinions and proposals will be taken into account to solve the problems related to the law as soon as possible. He stressed that the government aims to create equal conditions in the business environment and it will do its best to ensure the establishment and development of small and medium businesses.
The representatives of business entities and NGOs present at the meeting welcomed the government’s position and said that the prime minister’s proposal concerning the amendments to the Law on Turnover Tax are acceptable to them.
The representatives of small and medium businesses thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for understanding and readiness to hear their problems.
