H. Manukyan: Berdzor incident video is not sufficient evidence
During a talk with reporters in the National Assembly today, Armenian Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan expressed regret over the incident that occurred near Berdzor on January 31.
“I hope that answers to all the questions will be given during the investigation into the case,” the minister said noting that it is hard to assess the incident without any concrete proof and facts.
When asked whether the videos do not give answers to all the questions, H. Manukyan replied: “No, because a video is not sufficient evidence and cannot serve as a basis”.
As was reported earlier, on January 31 the Pre-parliament opposition civil initiative decided to hold yet another protest against the current authorities by organizing a “procession of cars” in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. Reports appeared soon about a “clash of protest participants with law enforcers of Artsakh”. Pre-parliament issued a statement saying that on January 31 “some unknown persons in police cars” hindered the actions of protesters not far from Berdzor. They used violence, inflicted injuries on protesters, broke their video cameras and damaged their cars.
