Criminal case opened over Armenian soldier’s killing by Azerbaijani troops
Armenia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case over the murder of Armenian serviceman Shekspir Hakobyan by Azerbaijani troops, the press service of Investigative Committee reported.
The case was opened under the Criminal Code’s article “murder out of ethnic, racial or religious hatred”.
The soldier of the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic was killed on February 5 as a result of a ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
Serviceman Shekspir Hakobyan died after suffering a back injury on a frontline position in the eastern direction of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
