Anti-corruption council and expert commission to be set up in Armenia
By a decision of the Armenian government, a council on the fight against corruption and an expert commission will be set up in Armenia. The relevant draft law was submitted by Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan and approved at the government session today.
According to Manukyan, the council will be headed by the Armenian prime minister. It will be composed of finance minister, minister-head of the government staff, and deputies of opposition factions.
For this purpose the government sent a letter to Speaker of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan who, for his part, asked the heads of parliamentary factions to propose candidates.
