It is unlikely Permyakov entered house by accident – Avetisyans’ legal successors
The legal successors of the Avetisyan family killed in Gyumri consider as unlikely the version that the soldier of the Russian 102nd military base Valery Permyakov entered Avetisyans’ house by accident, Lusine Avetisyan, the Avetisyans’ daughter, told a press conference today.
According to her, Permyakov broke glass to enter the house, and besides, it is unclear why he chose exactly that house.
According to lawyer Yerem Sargsyan who represents the interests of the Avetisyans’ legal successors, the version that Permaykov entered the house to have a drink of water seems incredible to him.
“I was in Gyumri. It is rather difficult to find the Avetisyans’ home as it is quite a long distance from the Russian military base. So it is illogical to say that he dropped in to drink water,” the lawyer noted.
In response to the remark that there were media reports that Permyakov knew the Avetisyans and even visited the family, Lusine Avetisyan said: “Permyakov served in that military unit for only a month, and the version that he knew them is ruled out because I was always aware of what was going on in our family. Three generations lived before us in the house”.
When asked whether it is not strange that neighbors living nearby did not hear gunshots and if the Avetisyans were at loggerheads with anyone, she said: “I also cannot understand how nobody heard anything. No, they were not at loggerheads with anyone”.
‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily wrote today that the results of ballistic tests regarding the Avetisyans’ killings by Permyakov were received and will be released soon. The paper was informed about it by Armenia’s Investigative Committee.
“These tests are crucial as their results will give an almost 100% accurate answer to the question of whether Permyakov acted alone or had accomplices,” the paper said.
In this connection the lawyer Y. Sargsyan said that following the article, they applied to the investigative body, but they were told that no such information was received yet.
