Amber Alert issued for missing SoCal boy
A statewide Amber Alert for a missing child was issued Monday afternoon, with the public asked to help track down a 1-year-old Southern California boy who was believed to be with his father and possibly in danger. SFGate reported.
Authorities said Giovany Santiago-Enriquez, 37, went to the San Pedro (Los Angeles County) home of his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child Monday and stabbed her boyfriend, then fled, possibly with his son, Jayden Nathaniel Santiago.
Santiago-Enriquez was believed to be driving a gray 2006 Nissan Altima with California license plate 5UCF010. He was thought to be headed to Mexico or Washington, where he has family.
The Amber Alert was sounded just after 3:30 p.m. through mobile phones and television broadcasts.
Jayden was described as black-haired, brown-eyed and 24 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a light brown and green sweater, a green and brown onesie with stripes, and black and white Nike shoes.
While Santiago-Enriquez has legal custody of Jayden, authorities said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Santiago-Enriquez is 5-feet-8-inches tall and 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a black beanie, black sweater, black Dickies and gray and black Nike shoes.
