Armenian PM, Kuwaiti parliament speaker discuss inter-parliamentary ties
During his official visit to Kuwait, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with Speaker of the Kuwaiti parliament Marzouk Al-Ghanim, the press office of the government reports.
Welcoming H. Abrahamyan, the speaker expressed confidence that his visit will give renewed impetus to the deepening and extension of bilateral relations.
The interlocutors highly appreciated the level of the political dialog between Armenia and Kuwait. They attached importance to the further development of inter-parliamentary ties, intensification of economic cooperation, and extension of ties in other spheres.
M. Al-Ghanim appreciated the activities of Kuwait’s Armenian community in various fields and the contribution of local Armenians to the country’s development. He underlined the importance of implementing all the agreements reached during the visit of Armenian prime minister and expressed the Kuwaiti parliament’s readiness to assist with their realization.
The interlocutors also discussed a number of issues related to developments in the international arena. After the meeting, Hovik Abrahamyan toured the Kuwaiti parliament and was present at a plenary session of the parliament.
