Turkmenistan’s Ambassador presents copy of credentials to Armenian FM
Turkmenistan’s new Ambassador to Armenia Muhammad Niaz Mashalov on Monday presented a copy of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Armenia’s Foreign Minister wished him success in his diplomatic mission and expressed hope that the Ambassador will contribute to the further strengthening of Armenian-Turkmen friendly relations.
Expressing his gratitude for the good wishes, Ambassador Mashalov noted that Turkmenistan attaches importance to the development of multi-sector cooperation with Armenia, and stated that he will make efforts to deepen bilateral relations.
The interlocutors highlighted that the mutual visits by the two countries’ Presidents have given a new impetus to bilateral relations. In this context, they discussed the implementation of the agreements reached between the two Presidents.
They also discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation, consultations between Armenia’s and Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministries, and cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, transport, agriculture, and culture.
