SCPEC Annual Activity Programme for 2015 is Debated

On March 25 the parliament continued the work of the four-day sittings by voting passed the legislative initiatives debated on the previous day, ratified the further additional protocol of the agreement “On the Status of the Armed Forces between NATO Member States and Other States Participating in the ‘Program Partnership for Peace’ signed in Brussels on 19 December 1997.”

The deputies welcomed the pupils and pedagogues of Schools N1 and N2 of Aragatsavan village of Aragatsotn Marz who visited the National Assembly and were observing the procedure of the NA sittings.

The parliament continued debating the programme of the annual activity of the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competitiveness (SCPEC) for 2015.

The key speaker, the SCPEC Chairman Artak Shaboyan answered the deputies’ questions, which related to the Commission’s functions, the priorities of the programme, the price-formation problems and other issues.

In his speech the Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs noted that the issue had been thoroughly debated at the Committee and presented recommendations and remarks.

The NA deputies Khosrov Harutyunyan, Hovhannes Margaryan in their speeches expressed their views on the agenda item under debate.

The debate of the issue will continue at March 26 sitting of the parliament.

The last sitting, according to the established order of the NA Rules of Procedure, was allotted to the NA-Government Q & A session.
