Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Khloe Kardashian, North West are greeted with excitement as they arrive in Armenia

With the amount of large crowds that gathered in the street in Armenia, it looked as if the royal family had arrived — but it was just the Kardashians. NY Daily News reports.

Kim Kardashian was joined by Kanye West, Khloe, and North as she visited Armenia for the first time, flying into the capital, in the wake of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide.

Although the reality TV stars will reportedly visit the vast complex in Yerevan that commemorates victims, the real reason behind the trip is to get back to their roots, according the The Associated Press.

The Kardashian's father, Robert Kardashian, was Armenian.

Upon arrival the group was greeted by women dressed in traditional attire and offering a welcoming gift of bread and salt, a custom in Armenia.

The clan will be visiting the country for eight days, taking the opportunity to visit museums, events, and meet with political figures.

The E! cameras will keep rolling while the Kardashians visit and the trip will reportedly be on an upcoming episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

Khloe took to Instagram to share a photo of the large crowd waiting outside The Marriott, where the reality stars are staying.

"The love and welcoming to Armenia has been overwhelmingly beautiful," she captioned the photo. "I wholeheartedly, can't believe all of you Angels who are outside our hotel with flowers and smiles. Im incredibly eager to get some sleep and see Armenia in the day light! I hope I'm able to sleep. I'm so excited to be here!!"
