Unlike the Turkish authorities, the Turkish public speaks about the Armenian Genocide, Turkish professor of political science Cengiz Aktar told reporters within the framework of the International Social and Political Global Forum against the Crime of Genocide.
The government, however, denies the Armenian Genocide, he added.
In his words, a total of 28 cities throughout Turkey will hold events commemorating the Armenian Genocide centenary on April 24.
The International Social and Political Global Forum against the Crime of Genocide is being held in Yerevan. It has brought together more than 600 participants from about 50 countries of the world including political, public and religious figures, genocide scholars, journalists and editors.
