Brad Pitt bruised and battered with mystery injuries as he talks at autism event in Hollywood
Brad Pitt’s face has been left bruised and battered, and this time it’s not for a movie.
The father-of-six has been photographed with a few bruises to the left side of his face as he stepped out in Hollywood this weekend, the Mirror reports.
Sporting a beard for his role in The Big Short that he’s currently shooting in New Orleans, Brad appeared to have a graze on one side of his face.
Despite his injuries, a bespectacled Brad took to the stage in front of 3,000 guests on Saturday night for the third annual Light Up the Blues Concert in Hollywood for autism.
Brad told Mirror Celeb via his spokesperson: "This is what happens when you try to run up steps in the dark, with your arms full, wearing flip flops. Turns out if you then try to stop your forward momentum with your face, the result is road rash.
"Regardless, I wasn't going to miss the Autism Speaks benefit the night after - wonderful people and I was honored to be a part of this important event."
Jack Black was emcee for the night, which benefits Autism Speaks, and clearly his injuries didn’t affect his mood as World War Z actor Brad bid on a Fender guitar, which was signed by all the performers from the event – all of them have autism.
Brad, 51, won the bidding war, shelling out $23,000 for the guitar.
