FM Nalbandian hosts Sweden Parliament’s Armenian deputy speaker
On April 25, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Esabelle Dingizian, an Armenian deputy speaker of Sweden’s Parliament who has been in the country over the past days to participate in the commemoration marking the Genocide Centenary.
Greeting the guest, Armenia’s top diplomat said he remembers with warmth his visit and meetings in Stockholm last November and the agreements reached. He expressed hope that bilateral efforts will impart a new stimulus to the mutual partnership. The minister said he sees the necessary potential and readiness for that.
Thanking the minister for the warm reception, Ms Dingizian mentioned that it is symbolic for her to represent Sweden in her historical homeland on such an important anniversary for the Armenian. She briefed the minister on the outcomes of her meetings in Yerevan
The sides discussed further steps towards the development of bilateral relations, highlighting the necessity of opening Embassies in Stockholm and Yerevan and fostering of trade-economic cooperation.
