Founding Parliament members released on their own recognizance
The restraint imposed on the members of Founding Parliament – arrest – has been changed and they have been released on their own recognizance, the press service of Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office reports.
Several members of Founding Parliament had been detained as they planned to organize mass disorders on April 24 – the day of commemoration of Armenian Genocide centenary. Zhirayr Sefilyan, Varuzhan Avetisyan, Garegin Chugaszyan, Pavel Manukyan and Gevorg Safaryan had been arrested under Article 35-225 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
