Artsakh elections were competitive and corresponded to European standards
The Nagorno-Karabakh parliamentary elections were competitive and were held in compliance with the European standards, Anna Karapetyan and Liana Hovhannisyan, experts at Hayatsk (Insight) Analytical Center for Applied Policy and Research, told reporters on Wednesday.
These elections were a considerable step forward in terms of democratic development, they noted.
According to Anna Karapetyan, judging by the ideological basis of the five political parties that won the elections, we can say that Artsakh will have a professional parliament.
Liana Hovhannisyan said for her part that the international community believes that NKR parliamentary elections cannot influence the final status of Nagorno-Karabakh, rather than does not recognize the elections.
