Armenian official, South African envoy discuss cooperation

South Africa’s new Ambassador to Armenia Christian Albertus Basson (diplomatic residence in Kiev) on Monday presented a copy of his credentials to Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manasaryan, the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.

The Deputy FM congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment, stressed the importance of development of Armenian-South African relations and expressed confidence that the Ambassador will give a new impetus to the expansion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the political, economic and other areas.

Ambassador Basson thanked the Armenian official for a warm welcome. He noted that the Republic of South Africa also attaches great importance to the relations between the two countries and gave assurances that he will do his best to develop the comprehensive cooperation.
