Deal on sale of electricity distribution networks concluded
Some representatives of Armenian government claim that there is no decision yet on whether the electricity distribution networks will be resold or declared bankrupt after the international audit as the government has “stood” as a guarantor for the $220 million loan the company has taken, Hraparak reports.
“The Russian side wants the company to be bought by a trusted person so that the electricity distribution networks are not declared bankrupt and left to the discretion of Armenian government. Moreover, there is information that the sales deal has already been concluded, but they are in no hurry to announce it,” the newspaper says.
